Comparative Evaluation of Compressive and Diametral Tensile Strength in Die Stone Reinforced With Different Types of Nanoparticles: An In Vitro Study

Aim: To investigate the effect of different types nanoparticles on compressive strength (CS) and diametral tensile (DTS) type IV dental stones. Materials methods: A total 100 specimens were made from mould for all five groups. Four commercially available (aluminium oxide (Al2O3), silicon dioxide (SiO2), zinc (ZnO), zirconium (ZrO2)) used in this study a concentration 10%. CS DTS tests performed universal test machine. The data statistically analysed using ANOVA Student's t-test. Results: interaction between stone was found to be significant (p < 0.05). values decreased by adding four nanoparticles. lowest observed 10% ZnO when added stone. Conclusion: It concluded that addition (Al2O3, SiO2, ZnO, ZrO2) die significantly Among groups, incorporation ZrO2 (group E) showed less decrease compared Al2O3, ZnO. Incorporation nanoparticles, other hand, more amount ZrO2.
